Role
As the Lead Experience Designer, I played a crucial role in conceptualizing and shaping the platform’s design, introducing the idea of a personalized content experience tailored to individual user preferences.

Challenge & Approach
The project’s ambition was to transform the U.S. Air Force’s website into a dynamic and engaging space for potential recruits. We faced the challenge of creating an intelligent platform capable of understanding and adapting to users’ interactions. This required a design that wasn’t just intuitive but also responsive to individual user behaviors.
Our approach hinged on a user experience (UX) design that dynamically served content tailored to the viewer’s preferences and personas. This strategic design allowed potential recruits to gain a clearer understanding of life in the Air Force and streamlined the process of identifying suitable career paths, eliminating the need for extensive, manual searches.

Solution & Impact
We built the platform on the principle of a fair value exchange for user data. It intelligently crafted each user’s journey by balancing intrinsic and extrinsic motivators. Interactive segments were interspersed throughout the platform, inviting users to share personal insights, experiences, and career expectations with the U.S. Air Force.
Designed for adaptability, the platform incorporated various independent modules, enabling effortless customization and updates to meet evolving audience needs. The outcome was remarkable, evidenced by a 47% increase in conversion rates and a 37% rise in qualified applicants. This project not only enhanced user engagement but also significantly improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the U.S. Air Force’s recruitment process.
